Get to know Mangrove closer with Bina Bhakti Sapat high school

‘It is not science that should come to you, but you who should come to science.’- Imam Malik

Such is the trope that is often heard among science lovers. In this regard, studying in the Open is an alternative to get more valuable knowledge and experience. Learning in Nature aims to bring the problems faced closer to reality or actual facts.

Saturday, 17/June / 2023, the Mitra Insani Foundation invites Bina Bhakti Sapat high school students for out-of-school learning, namely bringing students to nature, precisely around mangrove ecosystems. The intended location is the peace-loving post, where the post is useful as a resting place for Pokmaswas and lphd forest guard groups.

30 students who were accompanied by Mrs. Ladisa as the principal of SMAN Bina Bhakti Sapat and several teachers, were given the opportunity to learn about the mangrove forest ecosystem directly and later could be appointed as learning materials at school.

For example, by looking at the characteristics of river water affected by toxins, students can learn the adverse effects of poisoning that occurs. Can also observe the types of mangrove plants that have many benefits, and also learn how biodata in mangrove ecosystems survive. In addition to providing material, students are also invited to plunge directly to try to plant mangrove tree seedlings.

Ibu Ladisa said “learning outside of school is very interesting, I myself get a lot of knowledge that I did not know before. For example, the characteristics of poisoned water. It turns out that many mangrove ecosystems are not just mangroves.”
