Herbet Linto Retto Panggabean (Herbet). Since becoming a student at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau in 1999 has been active in nature conservation organizations and involved in activities to defend the environment and society in Riau province. In 2005-2007 it became one of the presidiums in JIKALAHARI. Subsequently joined Yayasan Mitra Insani (YMI) since 2008. His career at YMI began as a field Staff to Program Manager and in 2022 became executive director. Understand evolving environmental, community and policy issues and be proficient in managing organizations, communication and networking.
Mohammad Zainuri Hasyim (Zen) is one of the founders of Yayasan Mitra Insani since it was first established in 1998. Zen was the Executive Director of YMI in the period 2006-2010 and 2010-2014. A bachelor’s degree in marine science was obtained from the University of Riau (1998) and a master’s degree in forestry science from the University of Gadjah Mada (2017). Since 1997 it has been involved in NGOs with a focus on participatory training and qualitative research. Involved in many consulting work in the areas of community-based peat Management, Institutional Development, coastal management, forestry certification systems, and policy advocacy at the local, national, and international levels.
Muslim Rashid (muslim) is one of the founders of the Mitra Insani Foundation. Muslim served as Executive Director of YMI in the period August 2016 – 2021. Before that, Muslim had been the Deputy Coordinator of Jikalahari (Riau Forest Rescue Network) for the period 2007 – 2011 and continued to be the Coordinator of JIKALAHARI for the period 2011-2015.
