Tembilahan, Medialokal.co – in order to enliven the world mangrove day in 2024, Mitra Insani Foundation conducted a series of competitions and entertainment activities with the aim and purpose of raising awareness of the importance of mangrove Ecosystem Conservation located on the Indragiri Hilir Coast wrapped in the tagline “Save mangroves, save lives”, Sunday (28/7/2024)
One of the main series of events is the mangrove Run running competition which is held to attract healthy community participation to support carbon emission reduction.
The activity, which was centered on Jalan Swarna Bumi, was welcomed by the community with high enthusiasm.
Starting at 06.15 wib, as many as 2020 participants from all ages rejoiced to follow it.
The release of Start was opened and attended by Mr. Qodri Rama Putra as Kadispora Inhil accompanied by the director of Yayasan Mitra Insani Herbet Linto Retto Panggabean.

A little information this running competition aims to understand the importance of preserving the environment with small steps. In addition to the running competition, the world mangrove Day commemoration is also filled with various educational activities such as painting exhibitions, exhibitions of mangrove processed products enlivened by MSMEs, mangrove-themed coloring competitions, healthy Gymnastics, door prize distribution and mangrove 2024 children’s election activities which have been held since Thursday 25-27 July 2024.
On the eve of the world Mangrove Day commemoration, which was held at Gajah Mada field, it was attended by the relevant department stakeholders and opened by the acting regent of Inhil represented by the Indragiri Hilir Kesbangpol Agency.

After that, the event opened with the opening dance from sanggar Pelita Dance, the carrying of the Indonesia Raya song, the parade of the 2024 Mangrove son-daughter finalists in Indragiri Hilir regency, the presentation of the mangrove Run winner prize, the appearance of mangrove-themed poetry visualization from SMAN 1 Tembilahan Hulu. As well as in the closed and enlivened by the presence of local bands namely Riau market Wadai Jamaica.
