TEMBILAHAN -Lembaga Pengelola Hutan Desa (LPHD) and kelompok Masyarakat Pengawas (Pokmaswas) from several villages in Mandah and Kuala Indragiri sub-districts attended a capacity building training that combines digital technology with environmental conservation strategies for two days on september 11-12, 2025.
The training is focused on the skills of using digital tools in image and video capture, as well as the use of editing applications to produce interesting creative environmental conservation content.
This activity presents a collaboration with Instainhil, one of the largest social media platforms in Indragiri Hilir. Resource persons provide material on digital communication strategies and how to package environmental messages to better reach the wider community.
“the creation of environmental content does not have to be lengthy, but all-encompassing. Shoot, Edit, Share simply visualize the situation in our environment and then share it so people will get information. Because the content that has an impact is more meaningful” ‘ said Fariz as the founder of InstaInhil.

In addition, participants are also equipped with basic skills in preparing funding proposals. This material is considered important which is a planning document that serves to propose support, in the form of funds, programs, and cooperation from the Government, donors, and the private sector.
The main objective of this proposal is to ensure the sustainability of village forest management, especially in preserving mangrove ecosystems, coastal areas, and natural resources that support people’s lives.
Activities take place by the method of a combination of theory and practice. In addition to making proposals, the speakers also explained the registration procedures starting from account creation and how to input documents.
Participants not only listened to the presentation of the material but also the practice of making short creative content about the training that lasted until the practice of drafting a simple proposal.
“This training is very useful to introduce our region to many people. So far we have only done rough documentation. Coupled with the support of equipment provided by the Mitra Insani Foundation, we can produce good and interesting content,” said Teguh, one of the participants from Igal Village LPHD.
With this training, LPHD and Pokmaswas are expected to play a dual role: protecting ecosystems in the field as well as being environmental digital Ambassadors, who are able to package preservation messages creatively and expand access to funding for the sustainability of conservation programs.
Thus, efforts to protect the environment and improve people’s welfare can go hand in hand.
